Peter has been involved with fly fishing since early adulthood, quickly becoming enamoured with the sport from spring pilgrimages to BC interior stillwaters. He quickly developed a passion for all things fly fishing and fly tying, eagerly learning and harnessing an undeniable desire to fish and explore new areas. Since then, that passion evolved into a goal to achieve a sustainable career within the fly fishing industry. He first completed a bachelor of science in Aquatic Ecology, before founding Freestone Fly Fishing Co, the first and only fly fishing subscription service based in Canada. His company provides flies and tying kits to anglers all over the world, and what was once a humble side-project has turned into a full-time career. Today, he is concentrating on providing knowledge and opportunity for newcomers to come and enjoy fly fishing, providing free online tutorials, informative blog posts, and amazing introductory offers. He is truly humbled by the fly fishing community and looks forward to serving it for years to come!
